All four choices are nouns, by the way — the question is testing whether you know what each one names, not whether it is a noun.
There is also a clue hiding in the sentence: it says an, not a. At the start of a word, X is usually pronounced like a Z, so we say a xylophone, a xenon lamp, a xylem cell. But the letter X on its own is said “ex”, which begins with a vowel sound — so it has to be an X-ray.

- Xerox / xerox — capital X for the company. Many people write a xerox or xerox it for photocopying in general, and dictionaries record that use, but the company name itself always keeps its capital.
